Brentuximab ( bren-TUX-i-mab ) (Adcetris®) What is this medication used for? Brentuximab is a type of targeted medication known as an antibody-drug conjugate. These destroy cancer cells by locating and binding to them and releasing a medicine that disrupts cell growth..

• Infusion reactions (rash, chills, difficulty breathing, or swelling of the face, mouth, and throat) • Increase in blood sugar (increased thirst, confusion, urinary frequency, or fatigue)

What does it look like? • Liquid How is it given?

• Into the vein (IV) or venous access device What are the common side effects? • Feeling tired (fatigue, malaise) • Fever • Numbness and tingling in hands and feet (peripheral neuropathy) • Rash • Chills • Nausea and vomiting • Diarrhea • Low blood counts (red blood cells, platelets, white blood cells) • Cough What are the less common side effects?

• Red or blistering skin • Red or irritated eyes • Sores in the mouth, throat, or nose Special instructions:

• Notify your healthcare provider immediately symptoms of an infusion reaction are experienced during or within 24 hours after infusion • The dosage may be adjusted or discontinued based on severity of peripheral neuropathy symptoms • Notify your healthcare provider immediately if any of the following are experienced: red or blistering skin; red or irritated eyes; sores in the mouth, throat, or nose; or high blood sugar symptoms (increased thirst, confusion, urinary frequency, or fatigue) • In utero exposure may cause fetal harm.

• Heart rhythm changes • Changes in breathing
