Vinorelbine ( vin-OR-el-been ) (Navelbine®) What is this medication used for? Vinorelbine is used to treat Hodgkin and non-Hodkin lymphoma, solid tumors (breast, cervical, ovarian, and lung) desmoid tumors, and aggressive fibromatosis.

• Damage to unborn children (birth defects) • Burning, pain, or tissue damage in the skin around where the medicine is given if it leaks out of the vein (extravasation) Special instructions: • Radiation treatment may worsen side effects of vinorelbine, especially skin changes. • This medicine can cause irritation if it leaks out of a vein. Tell the person giving the medicine if burning or pain is felt while it is being given. If the skin becomes red or swollen, call a healthcare provider immediately. If there is a blister or scab, do not pop it or pick it. • A stool softener or laxative may be needed to prevent or treat constipation caused by vincristine. Increasing fiber and fluids also can help prevent or treat constipation. • Consult a healthcare provider before becoming pregnant, fathering a child, or breastfeeding. It may be important to use birth control while taking this medicine and for several months after treatment is completed..

• Into the vein (IV) or venous access device What are the common side effects? • Constipation (hard stools) • Nausea and vomiting • Low white blood cell, red blood cell, and platelet counts (pancytopenia) • Feeling tired (fatigue, malaise) • Hair loss (alopecia) • Changes in liver function tests What are the less common side effects? • Fever • Muscle weakness (asthenia) • Muscle pain (myalgia) • Joint pain (arthralgia) • Jaw pain • Numbness and tingling in the hands and feet (peripheral neuropathy) • Clumsiness or unusual walk (gait), and being more likely to fall • Loss of deep tendon reflexes, (wrist or foot drop), difficulty lifting front of foot or difficulty lifting wrists • Decreased appetite (anorexia) • Stomach (abdominal) pain • Mouth sores (mucositis) • Rash
